Whaddya.com iOS 6.0 Review

I just upgraded my iPhone iOS to 6.0, it took me at least 30-40 minutes to complete using WIFI connection.

I'm so excited to see the new features in action such as much improve Siri, Safari, FaceTime, and Maps. The photo sharing in my photo streams is an add-on to me not really a part of my daily routine, but not with my teen children. I'm sure they will love the sharing feature enable in Photo Streams.

Maps. I will update on you on this feature. The Apple Maps elements are vector based, this makes the graphics and text are incredibly detailed according to Apple. One thing for sure, you need to enable the Location Services to use maps. I like the 3D feature of Apple Maps

Siri. Siri can open my apps ... excellent. I don't have to look for it. I shared my iTunes account with my family, if you're in the same situation like me you know what I mean. Now I can talk to Siri for sport updates.

Facebook. Not too fan of Facebook to share everything, but a nice built-in service with my iPhone.

Shared Photo Streams. Excerpt from Apple.com/ios/whats-new/ "Now you can share the photos you want, with just the people you choose". This is suppose to be the social networking privacy by default. I don't want other people prying on my photos without my approval.

Passbook. I like this idea, all in one repository of passes, movie tickets, coupons, etc. I plan to use it.

FaceTime. Now works over cellular as well as Wi-Fi, so you can make and receive FaceTime calls wherever you happen to be. The over cellular addition is a game changer in video call. I've used it through Wi-Fi works perfectly, now will try over cellular soon.

Phone. Send to voicemail, reply with message, and remind me later makes it more fun to use the iPhone.

Mail. No real value to me as of this time. I am using a personalized email address @king.net powered by Google Apps

Safari. I noticed right away, faster surfing the Internet. Who needs an app when your Safari browser can quickly provide the information directly from any website, especially if the website is design to support different devices e.g. desktop, iPod, iPad, or iPhone. But the best part of new feature is where I can use Safari to upload or take a picture to post to a website. I'm enjoying it right now.

Accessibility. The VoiceOver, Maps, AssistiveTouch, and Zoom are great tools to have for people with disabilities. It makes them feel special.

Camera with Panorama. I love this panoram feature, in addition to grid and hdr. Simply broaden your horizons. I can live without my digital phone :)

Find My iPhone. I use this feature since the beginning they offer this app for free. No wow changes for iOS 6.0.

Find My Friends. "is a great way to share locations with friends and family. Those who share their location with you appear on a map so you can quickly see where they are and what they're up to" (2012, Apple.com). Now, I can get location-based alerts, kids leave school or arrive home. Right now, I've asked my kids to send me a text message when they arrive home so I know. Most of the time, they failed to update me. So with location-based alerts it's not a problem anymore, but I need to buy them iPhones to maximize the potential benefits of this service. More $$$ goes out of my bank account, for the love of my children. :)

I hope this help.

VMware ESXi to add storage

Have you tried to add storage in your VMware environment after the initial setup and configuration? In my case, I needed to add storage for more space to copy virtual machine files. This is also the same approach to access a USB drive to import a vmx and vmdk files (virtual machine and data storage). For this article, I will provide a step by step procedure on how to add your USB drive from one of your Windows Server (or workstation). Let's use a Windows Server 2003 for reading your USB drive. By default, the NFS service is not enable. So, you have to add this service first. Go to Start , Control Panel , Add or Remove Programs , Add/Remove Windows Components , Other Network and Print Services , and select all for Microsoft Services for NFS . You asked, Why enable NFS Service? The VMware is based using Linux, so you need to enable NFS service to share your network drive or folder. Share a USB drive or folder. Open your Windows Explorer and browse your USB drive. In your

Office365 - This resource doesn't accept meetings longer than 1440 minutes

When you create a meeting schedule for number of days , you will see an error  "This resource doesn't accept meetings longer than 1440 minutes". By default the mailbox or room was set for a maximum limit of 1440 minutes. Here's how you can disable this limit. Login to the Office 365 Administration Console In Microsoft Office 365 Exchange, click on Manage . In Manage My Orgnization , click the drop down arrow, and click on Select on Another User . This will prompt you to select the mailbox or room to manage. Select a Mailbox or Room , click OK . In Option, click on Settings. In Scheduling Options, un-check the "Limit meeting duration", then click on Save. That's all. You can now schedule a meeting or reserve a room for number of days. Hope this help you.
